Grantley Village, Ripon
Set to open its doors on August 14th, Grantley Arms has been designed with warmth and familiarity in mind, with local produce and Yorkshire classics at its heart. Situated just a short stroll from Grantley Hall, the dog and family-friendly pub is rooted in tradition, but reimagined for today; you can expect seasonal dishes, local produce, and a good pint.
Ferrensby, Knaresbourough
Following months of careful restoration, the General Tarleton Pub will finally welcome the public on August 29th. Located just outside Harrogate in the village of Ferrensby, this 18th-century coaching inn is set to offer a combination of warm hospitality, historic charm, and delicious food courtesy of Michelin-starred chef Tommy Banks and partners. Rooted in hearty pub classics, the eight-bedroom pub will serve a produce-led menu, alongside well-kept beers and a carefully considered wine list.
Rudding Park, Harrogate
Joining the picturesque Rudding Park estate last year, FIFTY TWO offers an immersive dining experience, featuring a bespoke open kitchen and garden. Chef Adam Degg, formerly of Horto and contestant of Great British Menu leads the culinary team, where the element of surprise plays a key role in the gastronomic journey. Typically comprising 10 courses that highlight ingredients from the garden, dishes evolve with the seasons and include beverage pairings to complement the meal. Aprons are on hand for those who are keen to get involved, there’s a pack of cards to spark the ‘art of conversation’, and over pudding there’s ‘dessert’ island disc – the chance for you to select a track for the FIFTY TWO playlist.
Saltmoore, Sandsend
Following its opening on 12th July, The Pizzeria at The Beach House is based at Saltmoore, Sandsend and is open to both guests of the hotel and non-residents. With indoor and outdoor seating available, the latest offering from the luxury retreat is open 7 days a week during high season, and serves slow-fermented sourdough pizzas which are seasonally-led, crafted with care and cooked to order. Led by Head Chef Adam Maddock, with Tommy Banks as consultant chef, The Beach House is the ideal stop after a long coastal walk or can even be enjoyed as a takeaway along the shoreline.
