Rene Ramillon set up the company that gave life to the celebrated down jacket in 1952, the jackets where noticed by Lionel Terray for there potential and from then on they were used in many famous expeditions. By the 1980s they started to be noticed by the fashion pack and were produced in yellow, blue, orange and green. In 1989 Chantal Tomas collaborated with Moncler and changed the garment for a more fashion market adding buttons instead of zips and fur trimmings. Today Moncler expresses personal individuality beyond styles, Icon of contemporary way of dressing.
